Father's Day and Two Months

It feels like so long since I have blogged :( It has been so busy between going back to work to finish out the school year (I have to say a big thanks to my Mom who watched Lucas for us), Father's Day weekend and Lucas turning 2 months old.

He is getting so big. We go to the doctors tomorrow and I can't wait to find out how much he weighs.

It was Mike's 1st Father's Day! We had a really quiet day at home. Mike is a great Dad to Lucas. Lucas has started to smile and Mike can always get a huge smile from him. I always thought Mike would be a wonderful Dad and it is so fun to watch him play with and love on Lucas.

And of course my Dad who is absolutely the best. Now not only is my Dad the best Dad but the best Grandfather. Lucas and I love him more then we could ever express in words.

A Night Out

Lucas had his first night out and Mike and I sat and ate at a restaurant the 1st time since Lucas was born. It was our friend Lishelle's birthday so a group of us got together at B.J.'s in Laguna Hills for dinner on Saturday night. Mike and I definitely treated ourself. We started with brushetta, then shared a cobb salad and ham and pineapple pizza, and ended with a chocolate chip bazookie. We were so full after dinner but it was so good. Lucas slept the entire time in his stroller. He even slept when Uncle Brian and Aunt Lindsay held him. He was an angel. We paid for his "angel" behavior because when we got home Lucas was wide awake for a couple of hours. He finally fell asleep around midnight and then slept till 4:00 am. Yes thats right, he slept 4 hours. Although after that he woke at 6 and 8 to eat...but thats okay one four hour block was fantastic.
