Our first ER visit

This summer we had our first ER visit with Lucas.  He fell in the showers at our community pool after swimming and landed on his chin.  Ellie and I had already left the pool area to go home.  We heard a knock at the front door and for some reason I got that feeling that something was wrong.  When I answered the door Lucas was crying and Mike had a worried look on his face.  After looking at his chin we headed to the ER and Lucas got 7 stitches in his chin.  He was such a trooper and very brave.  I hope that is our last visit to the ER for a very long time.

July Happenings

We had a very fun and busy July.  I can't believe its almost mid August and before we know it summer will end and school will start.  Here is to enjoying the last few weeks of summer.

Ellie: 6 months

What Ellie is up to at 6 months...

-can almost crawl

-rolls or "snakes" to anything that she wants and sees

-smiles all the time

-goes to bed at 9:00 and wakes up around 1:00 and 4:00 to nurse

-usually sleeps until 6:30 but every so often till 8:00

-has tried apples, pears, bananas and sweet potatoes

-not a big fan of "food," she would rather nurse

-loves to watch Lucas swim in the pool

-is so loved by her brother

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July!!!

We spent the afternoon at the yearly community 4th of July party.

There was a bounce house, water balloons, cotton candy, face painting, hot dogs, and drinks to name a few.  We had a blast and its so nice to be able to just ride your golf cart to the party.

After the party we headed home to rest up for a BBQ with our neighbors and Grams and Pa.  You can't have 4th of July without a BBQ with yummy food.  Ellie and I were too tired to make it to fireworks but Mike and Lucas watched them with our neighbors.  It was a great 4th!!!
