Tanaka Farms Field Trip

Lucas had his first official school field trip.  We meet his entire preschool class for a morning at Tanaka Farms in Irvine. We went vegetable picking, visited the petting zoo, played in the corn maze, went for a wagon ride through the farm and picked out the perfect pumpkin.  We all had a great time but boy were we tired when we got home.

Pumpkin Carving

 Lucas (3 1/2 years old)

 Lucas, Libby and Carly

 Ellie (10 months)

We had the best time carving pumpkins with our neighbors.  It was the last week before we moved to the new house and it was so fun to spend time with them.  Lucas absolutely loves "the girls" (Carly and Libby) and Jack.  Spending time with them outside playing is one of the things that we miss the most about our old house.  It was a great memory to not only carve pumpkins but trick-or-treat with our favorite neighbors.

Our first ER visit

Waiting at the ER
All bandaged up.

This summer we had our first ER visit with Lucas.  He fell in the showers at our community pool after swimming and landed on his chin.  Ellie and I had already left the pool area to go home.  We heard a knock at the front door and for some reason I got that feeling that something was wrong.  When I answered the door Lucas was crying and Mike had a worried look on his face.  After looking at his chin we headed to the ER and Lucas got 7 stitches in his chin.  He was such a trooper and very brave.  I hope that is our last visit to the ER for a very long time.
