Lucas' Blue Escalade

We want to thank our Grandmay and Grandpay for Lucas' Thanksgiving present...a blue escalade. Lucas loves his new car. It even has a cup holder :)

Getting ready to cruise the neighbor...Daddy says to pick up chicks!

Of course Grandmay is in to the details...check out the license plate that says "Lucas."

Julie Boyd Photography

Mike's sister Julie, was so generous to take our Christmas card picture (cards will be in the mail shortly and we just loved the picture she took of the three of us). Here are two pictures she took of Lucas that I just love. As you can tell from the pictures he was fascinated with her camera!!! Lucas is getting so big...I just can't believe that December 21st he will be 8 months old.

Retirement

We are sad to report that the swing was placed into retirement until the next Arnold or Boyd baby comes along. These are Lucas last pictures in the swing. His legs and head were both over the edge and we could barely buckle in him anymore. We loved the rainforest swing and had many great naps in it. We want to thank our Aunt Lulu and cousin Beck for letting us borrow it.

Lucas was sad to say bye to his swing.

The day after Halloween

Lucas had big plans with his cousin to go Trick or Treating on Halloween but he was so exhausted that he feel asleep at 5:30 on Halloween. So Mike and I dressed him up in his glow in the dark skeleton pajamas the day after Halloween...you will have to imagine the pajamas glowing in the dark :)

Tanaka Farms

Lucas and I went to this fun farm by our house called Tanaka Farms two times before Halloween during their pumpkin season. The first time we went with Aunt Lulu (my sister Lisa) and cousin Beck. We had a great time riding on the trailor and looking at the fresh vegetables and pumpkins but boy was it hot!!!

Lucas spent most the time sleeping.
The second time we went with my good friend Vanessa and her adorable daughter Hailey.
We tried hard to get a picture where Hailey and Lucas were looking at the camera.

We can't wait to go back to Tanaka Farms for strawberry and watermelon season!!!

6 months old

Lucas had his 6 month check-up today. The doctor said he looked great! Here are his current stats:
Height: 27.5 inches
Weight: 22.2 lbs.
...and yes he is still off the charts :)
3 weeks ago Lucas started eating cereal and food. Boy does he love it and he is such a great eater.
A day last week when our hat and blanket was actually put to use on a walk.

Las Vegas

Mike had a business trip to Las Vegas and we were invited to come along. I was a little worried because of the smoke factor for Lucas but we stayed at a beautiful hotel, the Palazzo, that did not smell like smoke. Here are a few highlights from our business vacation.
Our room at the Palazzo was huge! I wish I would have thought to take some pictures.
On our way to one of the business dinners.
Our room had a beautiful view of the golf course. Lucas loved to sit and look out the window.

My Mom was so generous to come along and watch Lucas for us while we attended events.

The atrium at the hotel had this beautiful Fall display. The display had huge real pumpkins. It was amazing, the picture does not do it justice.

One of our stops on the way to Vegas. Lucas was such a wonderful little traveler.

Soccer Game

On Sunday we went to Mike's soccer game (yes, they won). It was such a nice day outside and the field in Foothill Ranch is beautiful. We had a great time and Lucas was able to wear his special soccer uniform that his Uncle Brian gave him. Thank you Uncle Brian we love it!!!

Mike and Lucas have the same uniform number 7.

Tummy Time

Lucas is starting to really enjoy his tummy time. He is getting so good at holding his head up.
