We had such a wonderful 1st Christmas with Lucas :)
Here are a few highlights from our Christmas with Grandpay, Grandmay, Aunt Lulu,
Uncle Gannin, and cousin Beck.
Boy, do we love them!!!
Lucas and Beck. Notice Beck's Elmo slippers...he does the sweetest Elmo voice.

Grandmay and Lucas. Lucas' bib reads I Love Santa (courtesy of Grandmay and Grandpay)
Lucas is getting so big and tall.
Lucas and Beck sharing toys :)
Christmas morning. The amount of presents from Grandmay and Grandpay was ridiculous!!!

Pottery Barn hooded towels...love them!!!
Grandpay, Grandmay, and Lucas.
Mike is the champion of putting things together (Mr. Handy) and he really used his skills on Christmas morning.
When Lucas and Grandpay are together they look so much alike.
Opening more presents :)

Lucas' favorite part of opening presents was playing with the wrapping paper.

O' Christmas Tree

I am really trying to catch up on Christmas blog posts. So here goes part 1...our hunt for a Christmas tree.

I want to start by saying WOW! how much has changed in a year.

Christmas '08
5 months pregnant.

Christmas '09
Our family of three is now a family of four.
Lucas is 8 months old.

We once again got our Christmas tree at Home Depot. Well, its only the 2nd year in a row :)

It was cold and rainy which you can probably guess from Lucas' Ugg boots and hat.

I'm not sure how I did it but I convinced Mike that a 8ft. tree would be just as nice as a 10 ft. tree.

Coming soon....Christmas Part 2: Christmas Day!!!

My 1st Pear

Lucas has been eating baby food for the last few months and has just recently began eating puffs and pieces of steamed apples and pears. Whenever Mike and I are eating Lucas wants whatever we have. The other day Mike peeled a pear and Lucas immediately spotted it and decided that he would like to eat it. Of course, Mike was happy to share and let me tell you Lucas really enjoyed the pear.

We Love You :)

I don't think I tell my parents enough how wonderful they are.
They are the best parents and grandparents in the world.
We are so lucky to have them in our lives.

Park Adventure

It was such a nice day out today that Mike and I decided that we would take Lucas to the park by our house. Our community just recently remodeled all the parks and put in new play equipment. Our park adventure started out calm with Mike and I taking Lucas down the "small-kiddie" slide.

Then somehow my husband talked me into the fact that I could crawl through a tube with Lucas in my arms to make it to the other slide which I now refer to as the "big-kid" slide. Lets just say I either misjudged the size of the tube or the size of my body because I almost got caught in the tube. When I finally made it out of the tube and to the slide I realized that wow!!! this slide looks steep from up here but really what was the alternative trying to make my way through the minature tube that I almost got stuck in? So I held on to Lucas and down we went. I think the picture that Mike took says it all.

Oh and below is the nice horse that Mike and Lucas rode on together after the slide fun. Next time I'm choosing the horse and Mike can try to fit himself through the tube :)
